Born in Denver, Laila Delaci's family returned to the Houston area when she was just two years old, making her a Texan through and through. Today, she lives northeast of Houston with her loving husband and a foot-warming Great Pyrenees named Ruger.

Unlike many authors, Laila didn't come to writing naturally. Aside from a collection of cringe-worthy teenage poetry, storytelling wasn't part of her plans. Then one night, everything changed.

The characters who would become the heart of her first novel appeared in a dream and refused to leave. They followed her through her days, whispered through her nights, and demanded that their story be told. What began as a vivid dream became an unforgettable journey—and ultimately gave birth to The Pleiades Eves.

Today, Laila writes scifi/paranormal romance filled with strong heroines, unforgettable heroes, cosmic mysteries, and the enduring belief that love can change destinies written among the stars.
